The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Drinking Water Bureau (DWB) “requires that drinking water systems maintain and implement a DWB approved distribution system sample plan (DSSP) that reflects current regulatory requirements and system conditions, and enables certified samplers or operators to collect all routine and repeat compliance distribution system samples according to sample schedules established by the DWB. The DSSP is also required to be included as an appendix in the system’s Operation and Maintenance Plan.”
